Development History
Founded in 2019, IREO CAM & SYSTEM is a system design and solution consultancy focused on infrared, thermal imaging, and EO/IR/LEOS technologies for defense, security, hunting and industrial applications. From the outset, our approach has centered on engineering ownership rather than catalog resale: our in-house team of engineers and R&D specialists works across the full technology stack, from optical and system design to embedded hardware, image processing algorithms, and control software, with select critical components developed and produced directly by our own engineering group.
This engineering-first philosophy is reflected across our product architecture. On the electro-optical systems side, we design and deliver ISRT (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance & Targeting) gimbal payloads for UAV and drone platforms, integrating high-definition visible cameras with cooled or uncooled thermal imagers, and optionally laser rangefinders, into a single stabilized sensor package. The same systems engineering discipline extends to our pan-tilt observation and surveillance turrets, vessel and vehicle-mounted gimbals, and thermal radar / thermal scan arrays built for 24/7 perimeter protection along borders, coastlines, and critical infrastructure.
A defining example of our software engineering capability is the tracking and target-lock system we developed for pan-tilt surveillance platforms. Rather than relying on expensive servo-driven hardware trackers, our solution runs on standard, reliable step-motor pan-tilt units and adds software-driven tracking through a licensed control layer. The software reads live video, whether thermal or visible spectrum, and directs the step motors to acquire and hold a target automatically. This approach brings tracking and target-lock capability to budget-conscious deployments, from border surveillance to refinery and industrial site protection, without the cost and maintenance burden of traditional hardware-based tracking systems. It can be activated on a single unit or scaled across an entire installation, and represents the kind of practical, field-driven engineering that shapes our product roadmap.
On the optics side, our IR optical design and customization work covers the full range of infrared wavebands, from LWIR to MWIR, SWIR and NIR, with in-house capability to design and specify lens systems, coatings, and thermal imaging cores, including both cooled and uncooled modules. We work directly with the materials trade-offs the industry faces today, including the shift toward chalcogenide optics as an alternative to germanium, and translate those engineering decisions into finished products rather than simply reselling components.
Our handheld and thermal sight & scope product line applies the same design discipline at a smaller scale. This includes clip-on thermal imaging devices such as the TSC 6A and TSC 6B, designed to add thermal overlay capability to existing daytime optics while preserving zero and maintaining rugged, recoil-resistant construction; the TSR2 red dot infrared dual light sight, which combines a precision red dot reticle with selectable visible and infrared laser aiming for close-quarters and low-light engagement scenarios; and the Nyxara N series, a dual-function thermal riflescope and clip-on platform built as a scalable foundation for professionals building out night operation capability. Each of these products is engineered around a specific operational need identified through direct engagement with law enforcement, security, and professional hunting users, rather than adapted from a generic catalog template.
Across every product category, our role is to design the system, specify or develop the critical hardware and software components ourselves, and integrate the result into a solution that meets the operational requirements of defense integrators, security operators, and industrial clients across Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. We view ourselves as an engineering partner first: every project begins with a genuine design process shaped by the client's mission profile and environment, not a selection from a fixed parts list.
